CYO Tennis
About
The goal of Basilica’s CYO tennis program is to develop tennis skills and participate in fun physical fitness while maintaining a strong commitment to our Catholic values. The team members develop through education and competition the means of self-discipline, sportsmanship, leadership and social responsibility, to ensure equal opportunity for all team members, and to create a sense of pride among team members and the community while having fun in a safe and rewarding environment.
Players of all levels (beginner to advanced) are welcome to participate. Players in grades 1-3 receive coaching/instruction without competition in weekly practices. Players in grades 4-8 have weekly practices to improve comprehensive tennis skills and learn match play, and compete against other schools in the Northern Virginia Junior CYO.
Cost is $60 per team member for the season, which includes a team T-Shirt. If you have a t-shirt in good condition from the 2022-23 school year, then the cost is $40. Each player must have a CYO tennis t-shirt for Grades 4-8.
