CYO Tennis Events and Matches

Matches

(Grades 4-8) Play weekly on Sundays against other Northern Virginia Junior CYO teams starting September 17, 2023 and ending in early November.  Matches are held at various locations within the diocese.

CYO Match play is broken up into the following Leagues:

Wimbledon 1: Beginners only for the 4th & 5th graders. For new players just starting out. Three doubles teams are played and NO singles matches. Total of 6 players will participate on Sundays per team with potential of more players in exhibition match play.

Wimbledon 2: Advanced Beginners only for 4th & 5th graders.  Players are can and those of who had lessons and played on a team or in competitive matches.  Three single Matches and Two Doubles Matches.  Total of 7 players will participate on Sundays per team with potential of more players in exhibition match play.

US Open 1: Beginners for the 6th – 8th Grade.  Three Singles Matches and Two Doubles Matches. Total of 7 players will participate on Sundays per team with potential of more players in exhibition match play.

US Open 2: Advanced skill levels for 7th – 8th Grade. Are 3 Singles Matches and 2 Doubles Matches. To Total of 7 players will participate on Sundays per team with potential of more players in exhibition match play.
