The Basilica of Saint Mary is open every Monday through Friday from 5:30am to 9:00pm, Saturday from 7:30am to 7:30pm, and Sunday 6:30am to 6:00pm. Enjoy the beauty of our historic, well preserved church, which is conducive to prayer and contemplation. Located in the heart of Old Town, Alexandria, we offer a quiet, sacred space away from the business of everyday life.
SCHEDULE A GUIDED TOUR
Call the parish office at 703-836-4100 to learn more about scheduling a tour of the Basilica with one of our tour guides. This ensures that your visit won’t conflict with a funeral, wedding rehearsal or other events going on at the Basilica.
We also offer a public tour, open to everyone, on the fourth Monday of every month at 6PM. Tours meet directly outside the front entrance of the church and typically last around 30 minutes.
