Jr. Catholic Daughters of the Americas (JCDA)

About

jcdafThe Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas (JCDA) chapter at the Basilica of Saint Mary is open to girls in grades 6-12. The JCDA’s goal is to promote service and spiritual growth and to foster a greater appreciation of our Catholic faith. The girls participate in Catholic faith-based activities and service projects under the spiritual direction of our pastor and with the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Kavanaugh #54.

We will continue to offer meetings with service projects and  Holy Hours at the Basilica to provide opportunities for spiritual growth and reflection.

Registration

The Junior Catholic Daughters of America is among the many parish activities for the youth, but they require their very own permission form.

Many thanks to members of the Basilica’s Junior Catholic Daughters, who recently made 10 baby baskets for families with new babies to be given out to women in need at Tepeyac OB/GYN, a pro-life medical practice, in Fairfax. What a great witness to the Culture of Life!

During December 2023, they girls made Christmas cards and cookies and distributed them to the elderly at Sunrise Center.
