CYO Cross Country

About

The Basilica of Saint Mary’s CYO Cross Country program will expose participants to the fundamentals of running (form, pacing, endurance, mental toughness) while enjoying local park trails and competing in meets against other parishes and local cross country clubs.  Participants will have fun and be challenged in a safe and structured training environment designed to let individual ability comes out; and help athletes get fit while learning to value fitness and achieve personal performance goals.

Practices are twice weekly on local park trails (Wednesday and Friday afternoons) and meets during select weekends.

BSM Cross Country is not simply about the races. It’s all about what you do to prepare for the race.

BSM Cross Country is a team sport that requires incredible individual efforts.

BSM Cross Country is a tightly-knit family of runners who are bound by sweat, tears and cheers.

The registration fee is $45 per youth participant. This fee covers Diocesan program costs (professional meet timing, permits), BSM XC costs (permits, outside meet fees) and tee shirt costs.
