Celebrating National Vocation Awareness Week from November 2-8, 2025
National Vocation Awareness Week (NVAW), celebrated November 2-8, 2025, is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promote vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.
At the Basilica, parishioners are invited to participate in the Vocations Crucifix Program, an initiative to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life. You will have the opportunity to host a blessed crucifix for one week at a time, praying each day for vocations around the world, especially in our parish and diocese. If you are interested in being a part of our Vocations Crucifix program, please sign up at stmaryoldtown.org/vocations-cross.
