Scheduling a Wedding

Congratulations on your engagement! If you or your parents are registered parishioners, please follow the steps below to schedule a wedding. If you are not a registered parishioner, please register before scheduling the wedding. The Basilica cannot accommodate weddings for non-parishioners.

Couples who are requesting marriage preparation only with weddings scheduled at different Catholic parishes should still review the relevant sections of the Basilica’s Wedding Guidelines and complete steps 2 and 3 as well. Such couples should be sure to communicate to the parish office that they are only requesting marriage preparation at the time paperwork is submitted.

To schedule a wedding, you must:

1.  Carefully review the Basilica’s Wedding Guidelines linked below.
2.  After reading the guidelines, the couple should read and sign the Wedding Guidelines Agreement form linked below.
3.  The couple should then complete a Marriage Preparation Questionnaire, also linked below.

Upon receipt of your guidelines agreement form and your completed questionnaire, the parish office will forward your information to the priest on duty. If you have a specific preference as to which priest you would like to work with, you must indicate that preference on your Marriage Preparation Questionnaire. The parish office cannot guarantee any priest’s availability.

All three steps must be completed in order to schedule a wedding on the Basilica’s calendar.
