Young Adults

Our young adult events are for parishioners and friends ages 21 to 39 seeking community within the parish and the opportunity to grow intellectually and spiritually.

Bible Study

Young adults gather every Thursday evening for a co-ed Bible study beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Youth & Young Adult House, located at 307 S Royal Street, directly across the street from the front steps of St. Mary Church.

Social Gatherings

There are frequent opportunities to go into Old Town for dinner or to participate in other fun events at the parish or through Arlington Young Adults. Each third Sunday of the month, young adults are invited to attend St. Mary’s 11:30 a.m. Mass as a group followed by brunch in Old Town. (Arrive at 11:20 a.m. to sit together.) If you are a young adult who attends another weekend Mass, you are still invited to brunch!

Get involved

Service Events

On the second Saturday of each month, our young adults volunteer at Christ House Food Pantry on S West Street in Alexandria. Volunteers can expect to clean and store food items, tend to the garden, and share in the non-profit’s daily tasks.

Leadership Opportunities

St. Mary’s is always looking for young adults willing to take the initiative and start a new ministry. Do you desire to build up disciples through one-on-one mentoring? Are you interested in hosting a game night once in a while? We’re here to help put your calling into action.
