OKTOBERFEST: A PARISH CELEBRATION!

Wunderbar! Our 2024 Oktoberfest will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 2 to 5 p.m. on the school grounds and in the gymnasium of the Basilica School of Saint Mary.

Begun in 2002, the Basilica of Saint Mary Oktoberfest is an annual parish-wide celebration held on the grounds of the Basilica School of Saint Mary each October. More than 400 parishioner families and individuals attend for an entertaining Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. complete with authentic German fare like brats, beer and pastries. Mount Vernon Community Band will be preforming, plus fun activities for the kids.

As in previous years, volunteers from all over the parish, the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Daughters and the Ancient Order of Hibernians work together to make the event a great success.

Admission to the event is free. Attendees are welcome to make a free-will donation in support of the Basilica School of Saint Mary operations.
