Following the new history book launch that took place on January 17, 2025, the Basilica of Saint Mary Museum is hosting a special temporary exhibit, The Basilica in Print: A History of Saint Mary Histories. Stop by our Lyceum building, 313 Duke Street, to view the exhibit and learn more about Saint Mary’s many history books and written accounts. Browse through copies of written histories, from the 1874 Brief Sketch of the History of St. Mary to the 2017 Proposal to Obtain the Title of Minor Basilica.
The exhibit will be on display throughout January and February; the museum is open during the regular parish office hours of Monday – Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. (Interested in getting your own copy of the new parish history book? Click on this link or call the parish office, at 703-836-4100, to order!)
In case you can’t make it to the exhibit, see the panels on display here:
