Jean Marie O’Neil Wins Volunteer of the Year Award

Earlier this week, a contingent from the Basilica’s Office of Youth and Young Adults attended the 20th Annual Youth, Campus, and Young Adult Ministries Appreciation Dinner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Herndon. Bishop Michael Burbidge celebrated Mass and handed out the awards. Basilica Parishioner Jean Marie O’Neil won the parish’s Volunteer of the Year Award. Mariane Staron, the Basilica’s Director of the Office of Youth and Young Adults, shared this about Jean Marie: “She has shown unparalleled dedication toward leading our CYO program with athletic excellence and faithfulness. She has given not only of her time, but has oftentimes mentored the different coaches and coordinators. She has actively worked to build our program from 500 to more than 750 participants as part of a Christ-centered community.”
