New Catholic Daughters of the Americas’ Temporary Exhibit Celebrates 120 Years of Unity and Charity

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Kavanagh No. 54, is celebrating 120 years of “Faith, Love and Service“ at the Basilica of Saint Mary this year.  Join us for a walk down memory lane at the Basilica Museum located in the Lyceum, 313 Duke Street, for the newly unveiled Catholic Daughters’ exhibit. Viewers will see the founding members and the original charter from June 14, 1906.  One of the oldest courts in the nation, Court Kavanaugh has  provided over $100,000 in scholarships to our Basilica students and fellowship for the women of our parish as they live their values of “Unity and Charity.”

Past Regents, above in attendance at the recent unveiling  of the exhibit were Ana Terry; Marguerite McAuliffe; Cecily Crandall; Helen Lynch; Elizabeth Scheuren; current Regent Maureen Phillips-Houser; and Archivist Virginia Nyce.
