Basilica hosts Blessing of the Pets

On October 4, the Memorial of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Basilica of Saint Mary held their annual Blessing of the Pets. Father Edward Hathaway, Rector of the Basilica of Saint Mary, blessed the pets of over 100 parishioners, neighbors and school families. The Basilica holds the event annually to commemorate the Memorial of Saint Francis of Assisi since he is the Patron Saint of Animals.
