Basilica Renovations

As our Basilica is beautified and enhanced with the addition of an altar rail, Daily Mass and adoration during the week will be affected. The renovation will take place from Monday, July 30 and last until further notice. During this time, the Basilica will be closed. 

Our weekday Masses (6:30am, 8am and 12:10pm) and Confessions (after the 12:10 pm Mass) will take place upstairs in St. Mary’s Lyceum Auditorium at 313 Duke Street. Wednesday Adoration (immediately after the 12:10pm Mass) and Holy Hour at 7:30pm also will be in the Lyceum. The Blessed Sacrament will be reposed in the Lyceum Auditorium, which will be open from 6am to 7:30pm during the week. Our new elevator will be available by then for those who need it.

Mass and Confession on Saturday mornings will not be affected, nor will our normal Sunday Mass schedule*. Due to the renovations, we will be unable to have Funeral Masses celebrated in the Basilica. Please contact the office if you need to have a Funeral Mass scheduled during this time.

The only exceptions to this schedule will be Masses for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 14 (Vigil) and August 15. These Masses will all be held in the Basilica. Also, the Saturday morning Mass and confessions will be in the Lyceum on September 1.
