Run with Haste: 2nd Annual 5K at the Basilica of Saint Mary

About

Join us for the 2nd Annual Run with Haste 5K on Saturday, May 30, 2026, a joyful, family-friendly race through scenic Old Town Alexandria.

Inspired by the Feast of the Visitation, when Mary went “in haste” to share the joy of Christ with Elizabeth, this event invites our parish community to run, walk, and gather in celebration of faith, mission, and community life at the Basilica of Saint Mary.

Whether you’re running, walking, pushing a stroller, or cheering from the sidelines, there is a place for you.

Let us run with haste—like Mary—carrying Christ with us in joyful mission.
Bring your family, invite a friend, and join us for this growing parish tradition!
