The Knights of Columbus to Hold a Patriotic Rosary and Flag Retirement Ceremony on April 2, 2022
Please join the Knights of Columbus, Potomac Assembly 2204, for their Patriotic Rosary and Flag Retirement Ceremony on Saturday, April 2. The event will begin with the Patriotic Rosary in the Basilica at 11 a.m., followed by a Flag Retirement ceremony in the back yard at the house on 309 South Royal Street.
All parishioners should bring their old, torn or dirty flags to the ceremony, where they will be properly retired — with the assistance of the Boy Scouts and the Basilica’s American Heritage Girls troop. A light reception with refreshments will be served. For those not able to attend, a flag collection box will be set up at the back of the Basilica beginning on March 26 to collect your flags.
