The Basilica Celebrates the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Birthday

Yesterday was was the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Basilica celebrated by holding solemn vespers during a Holy Hour.

After the Holy Hour, parishioners congregated in the Lyceum and had refreshments and ate birthday cake, along with singing a rousing version of “Happy Birthday,” led by Father Edward Hathaway, the Rector of the Basilica.
