Isabel Meteyer begins role as Basilica’s Youth Apostolate Summer Intern

Isabel Meteyer begins her new role as our Youth Apostolate Summer Intern today. She is a junior at Christendom College, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Theology.

A product of the St. Timothy’s Catholic Church youth ministry program, Isabel is a Resident Assistant at Christendom. She has previously worked as a camp counselor at the Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia from June to September 2018 and was Assistant Coordinator for Youth Ministry at St. Timothy’s from February 2012 until August 2018.

Isabel believes that the three most important qualities of a Catholic-Christian leader are love of Christ, having a servant’s attitude toward leadership, and charity. As a devout young Catholic woman, she has led retreats both in high school and college and is excited to grow closer to Christ while serving the kids who attend Camp Apostles.

Looking to the future, Isabel aspires to create an inclusion program for special needs children within our diocese.
