Join Other Parishioners and Virginians to Participate in Defending Life Day on February 9, 2022

Join us on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, to advocate for a pro-life Virginia!

On this day, Virginians will come together in Richmond for prayer – led by Bishop Michael Burbidge and Bishop Barry Knestout – and to meet with their legislators to urge them to defend life, from the moment of conception to natural death. Our goal is to assemble advocates from every district in the Commonwealth – and we need you.

Talking points, legislative updates and tips for effective advocacy will be provided to make your constituent meetings easy and successful.

Please sign up to join us for this historic and vital effort. For more information and to sign up to participate, please click here.

UPDATED INFORMATION AS OF JANUARY 27, 2022:

The Basilica of Saint Mary will not have a bus available for Defending Life Day in Richmond on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.  Instead, the Basilica will be sending a delegation that will travel by car pool. If you are interested in joining this delegation, please click here to sign up. The plan is to leave the Basilica by around 6:30 a.m. on February 9 and return in the afternoon. There is no cost to travel by car. Please contact Bob Whearty for more information by emailing him at [email protected].

Defending Life Day powerfully supports pro-life members of the General Assembly or encourages those who have voted against pro-life bills in the past to reconsider their views. We need our legislators to see we are engaged and expect to see them pass life-affirming legislation.  Visit VaProLifeDay.org to register for the day and learn more!
