Father Hathaway Blesses the New Playground at The Basilica School of Saint Mary

Father Edward Hathaway, the Rector of the Basilica, prayed with the Basilica of Saint Mary School 8th-grade students this morning in blessing the new playground, which is one aspect of the historic Mary Lead Us campus and facilities renovation and expansion project. (Click here for more information on this campaign.) The playground is now level, not sloped as is it was in the past, and is now covered in artificial turf.

After the blessing, Father Hathaway and Robert Loia, the school’s principal, threw out the first pitches for a kickball game with the 8th-grade students.
