THE CALL TO SERVE
Volunteering as a Catholic young adult is a response to a call rooted in our faith. Christ invites us to see and serve Him in others, especially those who are vulnerable, lonely, or in need. When you step into service, you live out the Gospel in a tangible way, becoming the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Service becomes a form of prayer in action, a way to deepen one’s relationship with God by loving His people.
It’s also a powerful avenue for spiritual growth and discernment. Service opens the door to discovering one’s gifts and vocation, revealing how God may be calling you to use your talents in the world. Together with other young adults, you can create a more loving and Christ-centered community.

CHILDCARE
One of the best ways to support our young families at the Basilica is to mind their children for a few hours! We are in constant need of age 18+, OCYCP-compliant volunteers to provide childcare during Santa Familia events such as date nights, couples bible study, and Couples Connect events.

BREAKFAST FOR CHRIST HOUSE
The Basilica of St. Mary Young Adult and Young Families Apostolate is responsible for providing breakfast for the residents of Christ House every 2nd Saturday of the month.
