2024 Catholic Schools Week Kicks Off with Mass and Coming Home to Mary Event
Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. This year, it kicked off yesterday, January 28, and will last through February 3, 2024. The theme for CSW is “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community.” At the Basilica, we celebrated by holding an 11:30 a.m. Mass that many school families attended. Then, afterward, a Coming Home to Mary event was held at the school, which included lunch, a campus reveal tour and a book fair. All parishioners were invited to check out the results of the Mary Lead Us Campaign campus transformation project. As a result, visitors were able to see the new playground, the new Saint James Library Media Center, which is where the book fair was held, and the new sports activity field.
