Young Adult Service Opportunities for November and December 2025
Looking for a Way to Serve?
In this season of thanksgiving, answer the call to serve others with your time, talent, and treasure. Come on your own or bring a group of friends to these service opportunities offered through the Young Adults and Young Families Apostolate at the Basilica of St. Mary. We are always looking to expand our service opportunities so if you have ideas or would like to volunteer in a leadership position, please contact us at yaya@stmaryoldtown.org!
What you’ll do
- Prepare breakfast for at least 8 men. This can be simple like scrambled eggs and muffins or more involved, like a sausage, egg, cheese, pepper, and hash brown casserole. Any complete breakfast is welcome!
- Drop off the prepared food at Christ House by 8 AM on Saturday
- Include an ingredient list in case of food allergies.
- You are welcome to bring juice or coffee, though it’s not required.
What you’ll do
- From Sat, Nov 8 – Sun, Nov 16, drop off new hats, mittens, and gloves in boxes at the back of the Church.
- From Sun, Nov 9 – Sun, Nov 16, drop off food items, necessities, and baby clothes for the people served by Mother of Light Center. Volunteers will be collecting items after every Mass on Nov 9, 15, and 16. You may also drop off items at the Parish Office (313 Duke St.) between Nov 10-14, 9AM-5PM. What you’ll do
- Following the 8:30 AM Mass, provide your own transportation to the 2616 Sherwood Ln abortion facility (consider bringing friends with you).
- You are invited to stand by the road to pray the Rosary or hold a pro-life sign (provided)
