Virginia Nyce Is the Basilica’s Archival Manager
Virginia Nyce just started working at the Basilica on various undertakings to preserve the history of the parish. Current projects include creating a small exhibit on the history of Saint Mary; working with parish historian, Kitty Guy, to update the parish history book; creating content for future tour programs; and establishing an archives at the Basilica.
Virginia studied art history at the University of Virginia and at King’s College London, and has previously worked on church museums in Washington, D.C., and in Jerusalem. In addition to her work at Saint Mary, Virginia serves as translator and editorial assistant for the Holy Land Review quarterly magazine. She is thrilled to join the Basilica’s wonderful parish staff and to be a part of this historic church.
