Two-Day Parish Conference on “The Rosary 2.0: New Ways to Pray and Wield the Rosary” on October 25-26, 2023

Father John Riley, the Spiritual Director of the Arlington Diocese’s San Damiano Retreat Center, will lead two parish conferences on “Rosary 2.0: New Ways To Pray & Wield the Rosary.” He will bespeaking in the Basilica church on Wednesday, October 25, and Thursday, October 26, at 7 p.m. For centuries, faithful Catholics have prayed the rosary to honor the Mother of God and to “treasure and ponder in their hearts” mysteries and moments in the life of Mary and Jesus, her Son. In these conferences, after briefly reviewing how to pray the rosary as we all have learned, we shall then consider new ways to make use of “the Angelic Psalter” as a guide to deeper contemplative prayer, and as a weapon of light and love to overcome the powers of darkness.

On Wednesday evening, Oct. 25, we will consider new and deeper ways to pray the rosary; on Thursday evening, Oct. 26, we will ponder how to use the rosary to keep the devil away and overcome temptations, great and small.
