Old Town Theology on Tap

All young adults (21-39) are invited to Theology on Tap in the heart of Old Town, Alexandria at Murphy’s Irish Pub on Monday, June 7th. Our speaker for the evening, Dr. James Starke, will be giving a talk on the “Liturgy after COVID.”

Come early for food and drinks at 6:30pm! The talk begins at 7:30pm and ends with Q&A.

About the Speaker

Dr. James Starke  is Director of the Office of Divine Worship for the Diocese of Arlington and Lecturer at The Catholic University of America (CUA). After receiving a bachelor of science in physics from Saint Louis University in 2011, he moved to Washington, DC, for graduate studies and received a doctorate of philosophy in liturgy from CUA in 2018. His recent contributions to scholarship include studies on liturgical tradition and the dedication of a church, and in 2020 he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions. He lives with his wife, Megan, and their son, Leo, in Arlington, Virginia.
