The Knights of Columbus Seek Food Donations for 2023 Winter Saint Lucy Food Project Drive

The Saint Lucy Food Project is a food pantry and delivery network of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington that is striving to achieve a diocese without hunger — one county, one neighborhood, one parish, one family at a time. The many Arlington Knights of Columbus Councils and parish volunteers are a main reason this is now a major program. As such, Fitzgerald Council #459 will be supporting the next Saint Lucy Food Drive by handing out Saint Lucy food bags after Masses during the weekend of February 25-26 and collecting the filled bags, with the goods listed below, after the Masses during the next weekend, March 4-5. The Basilica has always been a leading contributor to the project and through your generosity raised $3,690 and delivered 6,951 pounds of food during the September 2022 drive. May God bless your families for your gracious and continued support!

The Saint Lucy Project is specifically in need of the following items:

Canned meat/fish; canned green beans/corn; peanut butter and jelly; canned sauce and pasta; children’s snacks; soups & baking items; cereals, hot & cold; canned fruit; rice & grains; dried & canned beans; juice; and boxed shelf stable milk.

No glass, please!
