BASH 2025: A Diocesan Celebration for Middle School Youth

About

 BASH (short for Be A Saint) is the Diocese of Arlington’s largest annual gathering for Catholic middle school students in grades 6–8. It’s a high-energy day filled with faith, fellowship, and fun—open to all parishes and Catholic schools across the diocese.

With music, dynamic speakers, outdoor games, inflatables, delicious food, and Mass with Bishop Burbidge, it’s the perfect way to close out the school year with your friends and your faith!

Event Details & Line-Up

🗓️ Date: Saturday, May 10, 2025
🕒 Time: 3:30 PM – 8:30 PM (Check-in begins at 3:00 PM)
📍 Location: Bishop O’Connell High School, 6600 Little Falls Rd, Arlington, VA 22213
💲 Cost: $15 per participant (includes T-shirt, dinner, snacks, and activities)

🔸 What to Expect:

  • Keynote by Oscar Rivera
    A nationally renowned Catholic speaker and musician with a gift for reaching young people with humor, heart, and faith.

  • Vigil Mass with Bishop Burbidge
    Celebrate the Sunday Vigil Mass with youth from across the diocese.

  • Games & Inflatables
    Gaga ball, rock wall, 9-square, obstacle courses, and more!

  • Free Throw Contest
    Prizes for winners—test your basketball skills!

  • Confession Available
    Priests will be available throughout the event for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

  • Food & Fellowship
    Pizza dinner, snacks, and treats like Rita’s Ice and Smiley’s Ice Cream.

  • BASH T-Shirt
    All participants receive an event T-shirt (sizes Youth M to Adult 4X).

All participants must register through their parish youth ministry leader!
