Join Father Hathaway for a Roam’in Catholic Local Pilgrimage to Saint Clement’s Island State Park in Maryland on Thursday, April 18. We will travel in a bus. Departure from the Basilica: 8 a.m. Return to the Basilica: around 3 p.m. Cost, including transportation and food: $75.

Tentative Schedule/Thursday, April 18, 2024

8 am: Depart from the Basilica (congregate by the front of the Basilica church). 

9 am: Arrive Saint Joseph Catholic Church Morganza for a private Mass (https://www.stjosephmorganza.org/) 

9:45 am: Depart for Visitor Center

10:15-10:45 am: Visit museum

10:45 am: Water Taxi (not accessible for the handicapped) to island (https://www.stmaryscountymd.gov/Recreate/Museums/StClementsIsland/)

Visit island; walk to cross (.5 mile walk to the 40-foot cross, which is dedicated to the beginnings of religious freedom in the U.S.); recitation of the Rosary

12:15 pm: Depart for lunch at Captain Leonards Seafood Restaurant (https://www.captainleonards.com/)

12:45-1:45 pm: Lunch

3 pm: Arrive back at the Basilica
