Who: Rising 10th grade to recently graduated seniors are invited to apply to be high school counselors for Camp Apostles this summer.
What: Our high school counselors will have the opportunity to work closely with the Camp Director and summer intern to prepare for and. Being a part of the program team means being able to use your gifts and talents to provide a fun and faith-filled time for the middle school teens after they’ve had a long day at the work sites. Some roles that you could take on are program director, tech director, prayer/formation director, environment/décor team, photographer, musician, skit actor, etc.
When: The camp runs on July 7th to 11th. It begins at 8:00AM with daily Mass and the teens will get picked up at about 3:00PM every day. Counselors will be expected to be present for check in before Mass, and attend Adoration as a group. In addition to the actual week of camp, we will have at least 1-2 preparatory meetings to plan the program and small group training.
Where: All the main activities for Camp Apostles will be held at the Basilica of Saint Mary, Basilica School of Saint Mary, and/or Casa Frassati (307 S Royal St). All program team meetings and small group trainings will occur at Casa Frassati (307 S. Royal St.).
Why: Why should you want to be a high school counselor? First off, think about all the fun you will have spending time with a small group of your peers planning ridiculous games, skits and presentations for the middle school teens! You were in their shoes not too long ago so we will depend greatly on you to make a fun and memorable experience for the week. You will also gain general leadership skills and experience. Most of all, you will grow so much in your faith! You will be amazed at how the Lord will use you to touch the hearts of your peers.
