Called to be a Catechist, Assistant/Aide, or Volunteer with Our 2025 Children’s Faith Formation/CCD Program?
As Bishop Robert Barron aptly said, one could summarize Christ’s life with two words “Come” and “Go.” First Jesus invites us to “come” and follow Him and be His disciples. Then He sends us on mission to “go” evangelize and share the Gospel with the world. By our Baptism and Confirmation, we are strengthened to “go” and re-echo the Catholic faith. Will you share your love of the faith by serving as a catechist, assistant, student aide, or volunteer (hall/door monitor) on Sunday mornings for our children’s faith formation/CCD program?
We begin on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025, at the school. Assist our parish students, kindergarten through year 8, learn about Jesus, live the Catholic faith, and bring others to the faith. High schoolers may volunteer as classroom aides for the lower grades. Classes are on Sundays, 10 to 11:15 a.m., September-May, conveniently timed between our 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Masses. We provide training, materials, and support. Adults will need to be Safe Environment Trained and background checked with the Arlington Diocese and sign an Oath of Fidelity before working with students.
