The Basilica of Saint Mary is open every Monday through Friday from 5:30am to 9:00pm, Saturday from 7:30am to 7:30pm, and Sunday 6:30am to 6:00pm. Enjoy the beauty of our historic, well preserved church, which is conducive to prayer and contemplation. Located in the heart of Old Town, Alexandria, we offer a quiet, sacred space away from the business of everyday life.
We look forward to your visit of our beautiful Basilica. If you are driving a distance to get here or are coming as a group, we ask that you please call the parish office to schedule your visit at 703-836-4100. This ensures that your visit won’t conflict with a funeral, wedding rehearsal or other events going on at the Basilica.
