A Patriotic Rosary and Flag Retirement Ceremony to be Held on October 1, 2022

The Knights of Columbus, Potomac Assembly 2204, welcomes the parish to join in a Patriotic Rosary and Flag Retirement Ceremony on Saturday, October 1, 2022.  The event will begin with the Patriotic Rosary in the Basilica at 11 a.m., followed shortly thereafter by a Flag Retirement ceremony at the house on 309 S. Royal Street in the back yard.  All parishioners are welcomed to bring their old, torn, or dirty flags to the ceremony where it will be properly retired — with the assistance of troops from the American Heritage Girls and Trail Life.  A light reception with refreshments will be served. For those not able to attend, a flag collection box will be set up at the back of the church to collect your flags.
