In His Presence: Seeking God Through Prayer and Meditation

The Knights of Columbus, Fitzgerald Council 459 and the Basilica of Saint Mary Rosary Society are sponsoring a winter retreat titled “In His Presence: Seeking God Through Prayer and Meditation.”

The retreat will be held at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, February 16. Father Edward Hathaway will offer meditations during the retreat.

Your registration fee of $15 covers lunch. You have the option of choosing a turkey, beef, or vegetable sandwich.

We will also be offering roundtrip bus transportation from the Basilica of Saint Mary for an additional $35. We will board the buses at 8:45 am and return by 4:15 pm.

Retreat Schedule:

8:45 am — Board the buses at the Basilica of Saint Mary

9:00 am — Depart Basilica for the Saint John Paul II National Shrine

9:45 am — Arrive at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine (Buses will continue to the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception to take the RCIA class to their retreat).

10:00 am — Welcome by Thomas Harger, Supreme Director of the Knights of Columbus and presentation by the Sisters of Divine Mercy on Saint Faustina and the Divine Mercy Prayers

10:30 am — Mass in the chapel

10:45 am — First preached meditation by Father Hathaway in the auditorium

11:45 am — Lunch in the visitors atrium (pre-ordered box lunches)

12:30 pm — Second preached meditation by Father Hathaway in the auditorium

1:30 pm — Meditation and veneration of the Saint John Paul II relic

2:00 pm — Tour of the Saint John Paul II Museum

3:30 pm — Buses depart the Saint John Paul II National Shrine

4:15 pm — Busses arrive at the Basilica of Saint Mary
