Called to the Garden: A Study of St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body” will be a 6-week series for young adults ages 21-39. The study dives into the fundamental questions of what it means to be human and how to live in such a way that we come fully alive as human persons, created male and female in the image and likeness of God. John Paul II provides us with a catechesis that is more than just sexual ethics, but rather a total vision of humanity. He offers a new lens through which to view the teachings of our faith. Over the next six weeks, you are invited to enter into the Garden for which we were all created.
The study will take place every Tuesday, beginning March 27th, through April 24th. Each week will begin with a presentation at 7:30pm followed by a discussion in Casa Frassati (307 S Royal Street), which is located directly across from the entrance to the Basilica of Saint Mary in Alexandria.
Anyone can come and bring a friend! Come to one week or all of them. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, we are journeying together! As we learn Theology of the Body, it often feels as though it is inherently welling up from within us, instead of feeling as if it is being imposed from without.
