As part of our 1795 Series lectures, Father Charles Connor will lecture on “The Catholic Church in Colonial America.” His presentation will be on Tuesday, February 18, at 7:30 pm in our Lyceum Auditorium (313 Duke Street).
Father Connor is a faculty member at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He is an expert in Church history. He is the author of Pioneer Priests and Makeshift Altars: A History of Catholicism in the Thirteen Colonies. He has hosted several television series on EWTN, including Catholic Beginnings, a series that explores the rich Catholic heritage in America and its influence on the nation.
