Father Noah Morey is a priest-in-residence at the Basilica of Saint Mary and is the chaplain at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria. He is the sixth of eight children and was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He grew up near Seattle and was homeschooled until college. He enrolled in Christendom College and graduated in 2008 with a degree in theology. After college, he taught Latin and history and coached several sports at Chelsea Academy in Front Royal. In 2009, after discerning a vocation, he enrolled in Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary. (Vocations are a family affair: his older brother is a Benedictine priest and an older sister is a Discalced Carmelite nun.) He was ordained a priest on June 6, 2015, and then spent four years as a Parochial Vicar at All Saints in Manassas before his current assignments at the Basilica and the high school.
