Religious Freedom Week 2018

This summer, Bishop Burbidge and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) are calling Catholics across the country to pray and act in support of religious liberty within the U.S. and abroad during Religious Freedom Week 2018.

The theme for this year’s Religious Freedom Week is “Serving Others in God’s Love.” The week starts on June 22, the Feast of Sts. Thomas More and John Fisher, and ends on June 29, the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul.

We encourage you to participate in this important cause for the Catholic Church, by taking time each day to pray, reflect, and take action on religious liberty, both here in this country and abroad.

Learn more about current international and domestic threats to Religious Liberty on the USCCB website.

Opening Mass for Religious Freedom Week 2018

Join Bishop Burbidge for Mass on Friday, June 22, the Feasts of Sts. Thomas More and John Fisher, as we pray for the preservation of our freedom to serve God faithfully and with integrity. All are invited.

Daily Prayers and Reflections

We are called to follow Christ as missionary disciples by serving others and living our faith in all that we do. Let us take a few moments each day from June 22 – June 29 to pray, reflect, and take action on religious liberty, both here in this country and abroad. See more on the Diocese of Arlington’s website.
