Basilica to resurface aging parking lots, lots will be closed during resurfacing

Revised August 13 – Work was unable to be done on August 12 due to the rain. If it is not raining on Friday, August 14, work will continue then. If it rains on August 14, work will resume early next week. Regardless, the parking lots will be open for the weekend Masses on August 15 and 16.

The summertime offers the Basilica of Saint Mary the best window of opportunity to upgrade and resurface our aging parking lots. Even though our contractor began resurfacing work on July 29, they were unable to complete the job by August 3 due to rain and other issues. They will finish the work later this month, which means there will be some intermittent closures of our parking lots again.

All of our lots will be closed on Wednesday, August 12 and Thursday, August 13. The Wolfe Street lot will have additional closures on Tuesday, August 18 and Friday, August 28. Thank you for your patience as we have this work completed.
