Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I want to invite you to join me on a late September 2018 cruise through a region of the world with a rich history and fascinating cultures. Imagine cruising through the warm, exotic Adriatic & Mediterranean Seas, an area of sophistication that affords the traveler a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauty of western civilization. We will have the opportunity for daily Mass and confession, and the joy of traveling with our fellow Catholics and others as we experience these amazing places.
We fly into Rome for a brief stay and papal audience with Pope Francis before boarding our elegant cruise ship which will take us to five countries…Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, Greece, and Malta. Our first stop is the walled city of Dubrovnik, Croatia, where you will see the Medieval Old Town along with the cliff top Castle overlooking the Adriatic. Then spend 2 days enjoying the enchanting city of Venice, where we can take a walking tour of the city or a gondola ride.
After Venice we will sail to Koper, Slovenia, an ancient Mediterranean town that lies on the northern coast of the Istrian peninsula where the Adriatic Sea cuts deeply into the heart of Central Europe. We continue on to Corfu, one of the lushest of the Greek Isles, then to Olympia, site of the first Olympic games. Afterwards we sail on to Valetta, Malta, a tiny island nation in the central Mediterranean. We will conclude with a tour of Vatican Museum and Saint Peter’s Basilica in the eternal city of Rome.
