Beth Lofgren spoke at our Theology on Tap on December 2, 2019. The topic of her talk was “Identity and Embodied Selves: Catholicism and Transgender Questions.”
Lofgren is a doctoral candidate at the Catholic University of America, studying sexual ethics and gender with a focus on John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. She holds her Masters of Philosophy in Moral Theology from Catholic University and her Masters of Arts in Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She is a native of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, where she lives with her husband and two children.
Theology on Tap is a speaker series for young adults (ages 21-39) that occurs on the first Monday of every month at Murphy’s Grand Irish Pub on King Street in Alexandria.
