Fatima and the Fall of Communism

To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Aparations of Our Lady of Fatima, we will host a talk by author Craig Turner as tells he the amazing story of the Fatima apparitions and the consecration of Russia to Mary that lead to the fall of Communism. The event will take place on Thursday, September 28 at 7pm in the Lyceum Auditorium (313 Duke St).

Among the many fascinating details, you will learn the answers to the following:

  • What was the “consecration” that Mary asked for at Fatima, and what exactly is a “consecration”?
  • What did 70,000 people see at Fatima when they witnessed the Miracle of the Sun?
  • What terrifying event happened at the Vatican that lead Pope Leo XIII to compose the St. Michael prayer we say at the end of most Masses?
  • What amazing event related to Fatima occurred on Christmas Day, 1991?

This event is a part of the Fall Series hosted at St. Mary Catholic Church. If you have questions about this event, please contact Melanie Graves ([email protected] or 703-836-4100).
