Date Night at the Basilica – Cooking with the Saints (CANCELED FOR MARCH 20)
Date Night for March 20 has been canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Date Night at the Basilica will host its third event of the year and the parish Lenten soup supper on Friday, March 20. All are invited to the weekly Lenten soup supper from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. The Date Night program, which will start at 7:30 pm after Stations of the Cross, will feature author Alexandra Greeley speaking about her book Cooking with the Saints.
Cooking with the Saints, co-authored by Greeley and Fernando Flores, contains biographies of sixty saints and has detailed recipes related to those saints and their native countries. It is based on cooking classes Father Hathaway approved when he was pastor at Saint Veronica Church in Chantilly. The book is dedicated to him and he wrote the book’s forward.
Date Night at the Basilica is a quarterly fellowship event and speaker series focused on living the Sacrament of Marriage. Mingle with other parish couples over appetizers and drinks, then engage with experts on issues relevant to maintaining a great marriage.
This is an adults only event to help foster an intimate environment for married couples. Child care will be available in the Lyceum, but it must be reserved in advance.
Space for each Date Night at the Basilica is limited, so please register below to reserve your place. Donations will be accepted on Faith Direct to help cover speaker and catering costs (or you may bring a check or cash to the event). Suggested donation is $40 per couple and $5 per child for child care. The deadline for childcare registration is Friday, March 13.
This event has already taken place.
