Date Night at the Basilica
All engaged and married couples are invited to Date Night at the Basilica on Friday, November 9th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm in the Lyceum Auditorium.
Date Night at the Basilica is a quarterly fellowship and speaker series focused on living the Sacrament of Marriage. Mingle with other parish couples over appetizers and drinks, then engage with experts on issues relevant to maintaining a great marriage. Childcare will be available, but must be reserved in advance so that we can arrange for enough babysitters.
On November 9th, we’ll be joined by Art and Laraine Bennett, authors of the bestselling book “The Temperament God Gave Your Spouse.” Incorporating practical psychology, real-life anecdotes, and decades of clinical experience, the Bennetts will cover some or all of the below topics from their book:
*The four kinds of spouses — which kind did you marry?
*How temperament affects the way you and your spouse work, pray, argue, socialize, and show affection
*Tips for developing the communication skills that your temperament needs most, and for nurturing them in your spouse
*All the possible temperament combinations in marriage, and how to handle the unique challenges that yours creates
*Proven ways to figure out what really makes your spouse tick!
Space for each Date Night at the Basilica is limited, so please register below to reserve your place. RSVP below. Donations will be accepted on Faith Direct to help cover speaker and catering costs (or you may bring a check or cash to the event). Suggested donation is $40 per couple and $5 for child care.
