Basilica to Basilica Camino for the Church

Young adults (ages 18-39) are invited on a walking pilgrimage from the Basilica of Saint Mary (310 S Royal St.) to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (400 Michigan Ave. NE, Washington, DC). This pilgrimage is an opportunity to gather together in fellowship and in prayer for continued healing in our Church, with special emphasis on turning to the intercession of the Blessed Mother.

Description: The day will begin with 7:00 a.m. Sunday Mass at the Basilica of Saint Mary followed by a light breakfast in Casa Frassati (309 S Royal Street). The 12-mile walk will begin around 8:30 a.m. and conclude with closing prayers in the crypt church of the National Shrine around 1:00 p.m.

Transportation: Attendees are responsible for transportation from the National Shrine back to the Basilica of Saint Mary. They are welcome to leave their cars in one of the Basilica of Saint Mary’s parking lots.

Cost: $15, which includes a t-shirt and light breakfast.

Registration: Attendance for the walking portion is capped at 50 based on the Young Adult Apostolate’s agreement with various authorities, such as the National Park Service. Please register by October 4th @ 11:59 p.m.; registrants after that time will not receive a t-shirt.
